THE VOLUNTEERING PROJECT IN AFRICA - KENYA NAIROBI
Volunteers will decide whether to work in the education centre in Nairobi, or in the Southern Cross Academy, a school facility in a rural area, and finally in the Ripoi School within the Masai Mara area:
LOCATION
The project headquarters is located near Nairobi in the Kikuyu area. The centre of Nairobi is easily accessible and is about 30 minutes away by car.
ARRIVAL AND TRAINING
You will arrive at the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta international airport. It is necessary to book a flight that lands in the morning, before 3 p.m. You will meet a driver appointed by the association at the airport who will drive you to Kikuyu. Once you reach the volunteer house, Marta, the project leader will provide you with the initial information regarding the projects, the activities and the safety rules to respect. Finally, you will meet volunteers from other countries of the world. Immediately you will feel welcomed and at ease!
BOARD AND LODGING
You will stay at the Volunteer House, just a few metres away from Marta’s house. Here you will find a comfortable environment with common areas. There are 6 bedrooms with 6 beds each, a common area, 3 bathrooms with showers and a kitchen.
For the Southern Cross Academy and Ripoi School projects accommodation is provided with a local family.

VOLUNTEER QUOTES
“This year my ‘gift’ will be made special by all the excitement of this adventure in which the little ones of St. Dorcas will be the protagonists. I am very happy and excited about this new and important experience and can’t wait to hug the children, get to know my fellow travellers and the project! ”
